Neptis hylas kamarupa. dsf (dry season form).

Neptis hylas is the only species in which the underside is ochreous to tawny & the white bands edged in black.
In dsf the white markings are enlarged, ie the bands are wider, the spots large & round, & the fracture line may disappear.
The general appearance is very variable.

This Indian example taken in the dry season is fairly similar with the large rounded spots & more prominent white bands.

Many thanks for rhw feedback. I was wondering why the usual black edges to the white bands had faded to grey. Many thanks for the deails.
