    Default Jamides talinga talinga

Four species of Jamides are very similar in having the following features.

    1. The HW sub-basal band is dislocated, ie the white striae forming its margins are not aligned.
    2. The FW postdiscal band is variably dislocated near the upper end at vein 6.At the lower it is fully dislocated leaving what appear to be an unpaired stria.

    Jamides alecto ageladas.
    Large .FW margin straighter.
FW white striae broader, particularly the submarginal series

    Jamides elpis pseudelpis.
The FW white striaes are relatively thin little wider than those on the HW. The striaes forming the submarginal band may be discontinuous.

    Jamides caeruleus caeruleus.
Underside dark-shaded, striae in the male very thin.
HW 2nd stria from the base is nearer to the 3rd striae in the HW cell.

    Jamides talinga talinga.
Differ from the above three in having two costal white spots above the cellend bar.

Two observations are probably of this species. Correction: J. alecto aberrations.
