I think you have lump two different species together.

Both Pedesta pandita & panda have orange tip antennae.
Sovia grahami do not, the tip is black.
Pedesta have spots 2 & 3 large close together.
Sovia have smaller separated spots 2 & 3.

There are many errprs in Butterflies of India on Pedesta.

P. pandita.
Antennal tip orange.
FW spots 2 & 3 together & far from the cellspot.

P. panda.
Antennal tip orange.
FW spots 2 & 3 closer, but spot 2 is near the cellspot.

This below is also P. panda, not P. pandita.

Sovia grahami.
Antennal tip black.
FW swpots 2 & 3 small, bot well separated from the cellspot. (spot 2 is nearer spot 3 than the cellspot)
Spot 3 sometimes very small as in this pic below, usually larger.

Your 1st pic have orange tip antenna & is Pedesta probably P. pandita.

Your 2nd pic have black tipped antenna is correctly Sovia grahami.

TL Seow: Cheers.
