    Female Rapala pheretima sequeira.

    Three species in Singapore have females with upperside blue scales.

    Rapala varuna orseis.
    Postdiscal bands wide & double white-edged. On HW the band & cellend bar almost touch.
    HW black spot 2 rather rounded.
    Females.

    Rapala manea chozeba.
    Postdiscal bands narrow & only white-edged on one side ; HW band & cellend bar far apart.
    FW postdiscal band straight or slightly curved.
    Females.

    Postdiscal bands narrow ; FW band often with a mid angle.
    FW usually (but not always) with a bar in the cell.
    HW tornal black spot 2 without an orange crown.
    Females.

    This individual does have a FW mid-cell bar, which can just be made out.
