The Jamides in India are rather different with wsf & dsf.

I can't asses the Butterflies of India so these are Google search images.

    J. elpis. UpF male border a thread;UpH without marginal black spots.
    UpF striae thin.

These below are J. elpis from UpH view.

    J. alecto FW thicker black border; UpH with marginal spots
UNF striae thick , thinner in dsf.

    J. celeno; male with a wider black border
    UpF striae thin .
Male dsf with narrow black border & easily confused with J. pura.
UnF with submarginal spot 2 usually in line with the rest & with a straight margin.

    J. pura Male with black border a thread or very narrow.
UnF usually with submarginal spot slightly larger & with convex margin.

    India.

Male. P. Malaysia; UnF submarginal 2 is much larger with convex margin & UnH black spot have long side bars.

    Additional note.
The difference in the FW submarginal spots (space 1b & 2) is much more apparent in dsf.

    1. J. elpis.

    2. J elpis similar to image 3 in the Learn about butterflies webpage.

    3. J. pura .
The FW black border is a thread.

    4, Probably J. celeno.

4 is more likely to be Jamides pura pura.

There are examples of J. pura in which the FW submarginal spot 2 have straight margins.
    eg.

In 4 a number of features suggest J. pura.
FW submarginal spot 2 is shifted out of position.
HW black spot have large twin silvery sidebars, a feature seen often in J. pura in Sundaland.
    P. Malaysia.
    Males.
