    Male Nacaduba berenice icena.


    A. Larger species; male with FW margin straight.

    1. N. beroe neon;
    Male with the dark striae mostly obsolete;
    FW postdiscal band with a mid-dislocation.
    Costal spot above the innermost FW band always absent.

    2. N. kurava nemana.
    Male with the dark striae within the band often weak or nearly obsolete.
    FW costal spot above the innermost FW band present (except the occasional aberration.)
    Submarginal spots often large or wide with rounded margins or corners.
    FW postdiscal band typically straight & entire.

    Form with the submarginal spots narrow.

    B. Smaller species; males with the FW margin rounded.
    Dark striae within the bands well-developed in both sexes.

    3. N. calauria malayica.
    FW postdiscal band straight & entire, not crooked.
    FW submarginal spots 4 & 5 sharp-pointed & with straight margins.

    4. N. berenice icena.
    Very variable.
    FW costal spot above innermost band present except very rarely.
    FW postdiscal band broken/dislocated in the middle or crooked/undulate.
    Submarginal spots variable, pointed or rounded.
    Males.
