Dear Sir/Madam,
I am sending herewith one image link for identification purposes. Species image captured from Jayanti Riverbed (North - East region), Buxa Tiger Reserve, West Bengal, India in the month of November 2020. Sorry to say that I am unable to upload the image through this forum site since yesterday.
Thank you for your feedback. Yes, we all know about the tricky genus of Charaxes. After getting your reply I further studied about it. I am sharing with you.
UNF inner edge of the discal band is not so closer to the cellend bar like as Charaxes bernardus hierax.
HW with a series of narrow post discal white spots in spaces 1b-5 is small and outer edged not by broader black spots.
The closeness of the discal band to the FW cellend bar is fairly consistent in C. bernardus .
I actually did look at it before but it can be difficult in some examples.
This means your specimen is Charaxes aristogiton.
You could try a scrutiny of the difference between C. bernardus & C. psaphon.
