    Are these mating pair Mycalesis visala phami please?

    No. They are typical Mycalesis mineus macromalayana.


    A. White striae around occelli thin & narrow; peripheral striae usually too.

    A1. M. mineus; HW inner margins of ocelli form a sharp triangular indentation away from the white band; lower 4 spots in line.

    A2. M. perseus. Ocelli on both wings often arranged in an arc; HW inner margins of ocelli form a wide bowl indentation; lower 4 apots strongly out of line.

    B. white striae around ocelli enhanced & widened; peripheral striae typically as well.

    B1. M. visala; HW inner margins of ocelli form a more regular shallow indentation ;dark discal line less irregular.

    B2. M. perseoides. HW inner margins of ocelli form an irregular ,jagged indentation from the white band; dark line with several teeth, often prominent , the lowest at vein 1b.
