Telicota for ID
Despite only a few species in Singapore, their IDs can be very difficult.
It is necessary to determine the gender first.
The female have a longer proflie & the abdominal end is cleft.
1. Male Telicota besta .
2 & 3. Both Telicota linna males.
Telicota colon FW spots in a staggered arrangement, spot 4 is shifted out from spot 3 ,& spot 5 from spot 4 ie like a stepladder.
The face is paler, & spots 4 & 5 may be distorted.

Telicota linna . Typically dull, hardly orangey in photos as in T. besta .
HW veins across band not dark-dusted in both sexes.
Face & underpart of abdomen paler.

Male deep oangey allover.HW veins not dark dusted; Underparts all orange.
Female deeper dusky orange than other females. HW veins across band lightly dark-dusted.
