    Dear Dr Seow, this is from a friend. Is this Chocolate Demon (Ancistroides nigrita maura) or Forest Hopper (Astictopterus jama jama)? Thanks!

    Ancistroides nigrita.


    A. jama have a different profile shape .
    The palpi (labial palps) protrude & the antennal club is different.
