    Curetis can be quite tricky & the differences on the underside is often slight.


    1. Should be Curetis sperthis.


    Curetis may be divided into two main groups a. ground with speckled black dots ;2. ground without black dots.


    A. Ground with black dots.

    C. sperthis.
    FW postdiscal band slightly bent & running nearly parallel to margin.
    HW postdiscal spots 6 & 7 more or less aligned.
    HW submarginal spots 6 & 7 also more or less aligned.

    C. bulis.
    FW postdiscal band oblique.
    HW postdiscal spot 6 smaller & tucked under spot 7.

    C. santana.
    FW postdiscal band oblique.
    HW postdiscal spots 6 & 7 aligned on the same level.
    HW submarginal spots 6& 7 are out of alignment.

    C. felderi. Palpi 2nd segment white & spotless (hard to see/judge).
    FW postdiscal band oblique.
    HW both postdiscal & submarginal spots 6 & 7 not aligned.

    2. Should be Curetis regula.


    3 species have the following features.
    Underside without black dots.
    FW postdiscal band parallel to margin.
    Postdiscal composed of shaded lunulate spots.


    C. saronis
    Legs banded red to dark reddish brown.

    C. tagalica.
    Legs banded black.
    HW postdiscal band strongly & irregularly indented.
