Both are Mycalesis mineus. Correction : 2nd one is Mycalesis intermedia.

    M. mineus
White lines around the eyespots thin.
HW inner margins of eyespot form a triangular indentation in the upper half of the wings.
Lower 4 eyespots usually in line (Out of line ssp. polydecta in India)

    M. perseus;
White around eyespots thin as in mineus.
HW inner margins of eyespots form a wider bowl-like indentation.
HW spots are arranged in an arc; FW spots may also be in an arc.
HW lower 4 spots always out of line.

I'm confused, the second species is not Mycalesis visala?

Mycalesis in India is quite confusing unlike the sam species in P.Malaysia & Singapore.

    M. visala ;Thick white striae often coalescing ;HW inner margins of ocelli forms a shallow wide-based indentation against the white band.
It is surprising M. visala in INdia have very large FW spot while the same ssp visala in Thailand does not.

    M. visala Singapore.

    M. mineus.
White striae around the ocelli very thin.
HW inner margins of ocelli forms a sharper narrower -based triangle set in the upper half of HW.
HW lower 4 spots typically in line.

    Examples from Singapore.

    Kolkata ,India.

Some examples in the link below are very confusing.
    https://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/#!...calesis-mineus

The apex of the triangular indentation is sharper in M. mineus & set higher, in visala it is bluntly rounded & more in the middle.

Another species M. intermedia in which FW spot 2 is very large extend to Assam.
The HW triangular indention is sharp as in M. mineus.
2nd butterfly is ve4ry likely this species. The indentation formed by the inner margins of the ocelli seem too sharply triangular to be M. visala.
