    3. Rapala melida nicevillei.

The two forms have been split into two species.

Rapala rhoecus is found in Myanmar Thailand Sumatra & Malaya.
    TL Sumatra.
    Upperside brilliant blue.
    http://yutaka.it-n.jp/lyc4/83940001.html

Rapala melida TL Borneo, formerly considered a ssp of rhoecus.
Taxon nicevillei is found from Assam to Vietnamm.
Upperside is dark indigo blue with a gloss.
The distribution would appear to be disjunct as it is not recorded in Malaya.

    7 Ypthima newara.

Elwes & Edwards described the difference between the two. Page 20, & 21.
    https://archive.org/stream/transacti...ge/20/mode/1up

On the upperside the submarginal bands widens inwards in Y. nareda in both sexes. It does not in Y. newara.
To this may be added on the HW there is a mid-marginal dark shading that is more pronounced in Y. nareda.
This is also visible on both sides.

    Y. nareda Up & Un of each individual.
