    Default Elymnias ID please

    Dear Dr Seow,

    Is this a variation of the Common Palmfly without the white spot or a Pointed Palmfly please? It was shot in Pulau Ubin.

    Yes. The white spot is sometimes absent.

    1. Cephrenes trichopepla. Note FW spot 5 is much smaller than spot 4.

    2. Potanthus trachala ;FW spots 4 & 5 are widely separates from the spots above & below them.
