    There are about 20 species of Potanthus species in Thailand & their IDs can be very difficult from fieldshots.

    Potanthus no. 1; Male on the left ,female on the right.
    Male abdominal end not black-banded ,FW spots overlapping HW spot 6 absent; Female FW spots no overlap between spot 5 & 6; HW spot 6 present.
    Underside dark shaded.

    Three species have the abdominal end yellow without a black band. namely P. omaha, ganda & confucius.

    P. omaha ;HW band the veins dark-dusted, shading light.

    P. ganda; HW band the veins not dark=dusted ;heavier dark shading.
    P. ganda is normally quite oranging but it difficult to judge in fieldshots.
    Male from P. Malaysia; female from Singapore.

    No. 1 should be Potanthus ganda.
    You can see the the respective sexes match.

    2. FW with spot barely overlap spot 3 while spot 5 is detached from spot 6. FW spot 2 & 3 wider.Abdominal end with a black band.
    This should be P. pseudomaesa.
    Examples.

    Similar.
    P. lydia;
    FW spot 4 & 5 often convergent on their inner margins.; FW cell more heavily dark.

    P. serina ;FW spot 5 distinctly smaller than spot 4; HW with a small spot 6 on inner corner.

    P. palnia; FW spot 5 smaller than spot 4; band more strongly divided by dark veins.

    P. trachala have the FW band uniformly narrow & the outer margins strongly excavated.
