Default Malay Cigaritis, Euploea and Tanaecia

    Cigaritis syama or lohita
    1. Kuala Selangor, Malaysia, March 2019
Details “B” and “C” would point to C. lohita but detail “A” looks more syama-like

    3. Looks correct as E. algea.
The wingshape is distorted & the spots may be too.
It is best to try to get an upperside by disturbing them .Even a poor shot is helpful.

Euploea is very difficult. They also have very different forms in each region for any one particular species.

    E. algea menetriesii. Male FW with a large long brand.
UnH with the submarginal spots elongate to at least 4X the marginal spots.
