    Default ID requested for Hesperiidae

    Dear Sir/Mam,
I am uploading two images for indentification purpose. All images captured from Jaguli-Nadia, West Bengal, India in the month of November 2018. (I guessed both are Pelopidas conjuncta)

In India the Pelopidas are more nearly similar & harder to separate.

They should both be Pelopidas agna females.
    P. agna is a larger species than P. mathias.
Some paleness of the margin is quite common.

    P. mathias female.

A line thru the 2 FW cellspots may cut or touch the spot in space 1b ,but is not reliable.

    Female P. agna.

    Male.

    P. conjuncta is large in comparison FW 21mm vs agna F 18mm vs mathias FW 16-17mm.
The FW spots are distinctly yellow & the cellspots large ; the UnH spots are white.

I will go with you also. Because of the particular area I have seen only Male P. agna only. From this site, it may be P. agna female.
    Thanks and regards,
    Rajib Dey

Note: Can you please share some perfect specimen of Pelopidas conjuncta? Till now I have some doubt on it with others Pelopidas sp.

Pelopidas conjuncta is not difficult to ID.
Large swift. Medium brown ;FW with the spots yellow & HW spots white, the two group of spots contrasting.
HW spot 4 typically present & elongate sideway.
UpF with 2 rather large cellspots.

    India male.
