    Default Some problematic Tajuria

Help requested please for these three Tajuria sp. I find these Tajuria difficult as do not see them in the field often at all. All three specimens are from the same location (coastal lowland scrub forest at Chumphon, central peninsula Thailand).

Image 1 and 2a and 2b are taken at the same place on the same day, so are probably the same species. Image 3 taken at the same locality but a year later and does not look like the same species.

    Many thanks

    Tajuria species are terribly difficult.
The upperside blue varies from region to region.

    1. The blue tone & extent are as for Tajuria cippus.
    4. The underside with the macular postdiscal line is distinctive.

    2. & 3. The upperside & underside match Tajuria mantra best. Correction ;Ancema blanka minturna.

Many thanks for that. I realize that these Tajuria species are very difficult.

#2 should be Ancema blanka minturna. The blue streaks on the forewing are distinctive

    Quite right here.
I have actually check thru all the related genera but was misled by Yukata webpage which shows the male underside silvery.
