Two different butterflies, which I assume are Nacaduba species. Both photographed in mid elevation forest (500 metres) in Nan province, northern Thailand. Very grateful for pointers to identify them.

1. Male Nacaduba hermus .
2. Male Nacaduba hermus.
Both have only two FW bands (excluding the submarginals) & thus 4-lines blue.
The 4-lines blues may be ID'ed thus.
1 N. pavana: Bands with strong inner dark striae ;HW black spot strongly dusted with metallic blue scales.

2. N. sanaya : Without inner dark striae or barely ;HW postdiscal band & submarginals in space 4 & 5 well separated (not always) .FW band dislocated at vein 6 ;HW black spot barely with blue scales.

TL Seow: Cheers.
PS. one more N. pactolus is recognised by its large squarish HW submarginal spot 6, & flattened out spots 4 & 5; the white striae tend to be broad & fuzzy; black spot always with blue scales.

Thank you for the details. I now need to go check some of my older identifications.
Dear Dr Seow,
Could all these 3 Nacaduba shot at Northern Thailand be N.pactolus?

Yes, they are all N. pactolus.
They are the white lines broaden & HW submarginal spot 6 squarish, the rest with straight inner margins.

Thanks for the confirmation.
