    Dear Dr Seow,
Is this Pugnacious Lancer (Pemara pugnans)? Thanks!

Probably not. The two opaque dark subapical spots that are associated with the Pugnacious Lancer seem to be missing.

    It should be.
The finely speckled ground pattern & long gradual black antennal club are distinctive.

    TL Seow: Cheers.

Oh. Was always looking out for the pair of opaque subapical spots on the forewing for this one. The finely speckled ground is also present in several other species. Will look out for the black antennal clubs in future.
