    All these images are taken from Sammilan Shetty Butterfly Park, Belvai at the base of the Western Ghats in Karnataka State, India

    1. should be Pelopidas mathias.
    The underside is unevenly shaded grey .


    P. thrax has a uniform ground colour; Male has a white brand .?Face & chest whiter.

    2 is Bush Hopper, Ampittia dioscorides.

    3. is Pygmy Scrub Hopper.
    The cilia is uniform grey.

    4. is Potanthus pseudomaesa.
    5 sp. of Potanthus in South India.

    P. pseudomaesa ;FW with slight overlap between spot 3 & 4; no overlap between spot 5 & 6 ;Abdominal end narrow black band.
    HW apical spot of band projected out.Un with dark spots.

    P. confucius ;FW more continuous & veins generally not dark ;Uusually spots 4 & 5 with overlap above & below them.Abdominal end mostly yellw ;dark band may be absent.

    P. pava.Similat to P. confucius with FW continuous band; larger with longer FWs; Male FW base of space 3 orange (as Telicota colon male)
