A. FW white striae around eyespots typically thick & merging with the peripheral ones.
A1 M. persoides. Inner margins of HW eyespots form a very irregular/jagged indentation ; Dark discal line also very irregular with 3-4 points or teeth, lowest at vein 1b prominent.

The lower tooth may be flattened or absent (often absent further north in Thailand, Indochina.).
