It is not P. ganda .
    This should be P. confucius.

In Potanthus the degree of overlaps of the band varies & on the underside the degree of black shading & spotting can varies very much. In dsf the underside is very light.

P.ganda colour quite tawny, even described as reddish.
Upperside: FW spots 4 & 5 not overlapping with subapical spots ;veins lightly dark on FW not on HW, ;HW without spot 6.
Underside: FW spots 4 & 5 with little overlap with subapical spots; HW usually without spot 6; dark shading but no dark spot.
    Malaya & Singapore.

    P. confucius dushta.
Upperside yellower orange ;Band connected to subapical spots in a continuous manner without the veins darkened ; HW spot 6 variable.
Underside : FW with the spots broadly overlapping; HW with spot 6; strongly dark spotted in wsf.
    Malaya & Thailand.

Many thanks for the explanation. I still have a lot to learn on these skippers - a major headache.

    Default Revision.

    This is probably Potanthus mara.

The underside does not match that of typical P. confucius.
The upperside band also have very little overlap with apical(or subapical) spots.( Typically broad overlap in P. confucius.)
Evans provide few information other than it is yellow & has a narrow streak in the FW cell, Unh usually continue into space 6; spot in space 7 absent or present; unh band defined by dark spots.

Both the FW & HW bands are fairly straight comparatively here.
If it is also called the Straight-banded Dart, than it is a fairly good match.

Two similar males from India.Same individual.

Correction: This 2nd individual should be P. sita, the Yellow & Black Dart.

PS. I am just trying too hard. Can't see much difference from P. confucius. All the features are within individual variations.

PS2. This should be correctly P. mara. HK.
The FW band is in a straight line from spot 5 down. (Compare your pix.); The abdominal end is black-banded.
