    Thanks Commander for inviting me to a butterfly-shooting trip to Ipoh. Sharing some shots.
    1. A Four-line Blue (please help to id) and a Sunbeam (possibly Curetis tagalica )


    2.The Small Red Bob (Idmon obliquans obliquans)


    3. Athyma reta moorei (Malay Staff Sergeant)

    Nacaduba sanaya male.
    HW submarginal & postdiscal bands well separated. FW postdiscal band dislocated at vein 6.

    Postdiscal band regular, without the deep indentations seen C. tagalica.

    12 a & b.
    Cyretis cocles earli form earli.


    In form formosa the markings are ochreous yellow.

    In C& P 4, plate 23 there is an arrangement error.
    5 is form earli & 6 is form formosa.


    13 is correct as A. horsfieldi permagnus.
    fW with the postdiscal band dislocated in the middle.
    HW with postdiscal spot 6 roughly beneath spot 7.

    FW white band not fully reaching costal margin.
    FW usually with a spot 4.

    Halpe ormenes.

    H. ormenes and zema can be very cinfusing in fieldshots.

    Halpe zema.
    HW band pale yellowish.
    The outer margin have coarser and deeper serrations usually.
    HW marginal and basal zone of the same brown tone.

    Halpe ormenes.
    HW band usually whiter.
    HW band outer margin with less deep serratios.
    HW marginal zone shaded a darker brown than the basal zone.

    The 3rd member have a narrower band, its lower end more upright and less bent out.

    This individual is unusual in that the FW postdiscal band is serially broken, which is not usually the case.

    Too challenging and time-consuming for me to compare and analyse these Malaysian Arhopala species photographed in Kadah, Sg Sedim.
