    Default Potanthus lydia?

I realize Potanthus sp are very difficult, but I would appreciate some ideas of which species this might be. I have read the extensive notes on Potanthus ID posted on this forum, and the closest match I can find to this is P. Lydia (or maybe at a pinch P. mingo). Photographed at Nam Nao, nc Thailand this week. Unfortunately only the underside.
    Many thanks for any comments.

From the abdominal end & paler body, it is a female.
The FW spots overlap continuously ie there is no gap between the spots.
HW spot 6 is very large & almost fully overlaps spot 7 above it & most of spot 5.
Spots are edged in black with lighter shading.

Fully overlapping FW spots & large HW spot 6 are mainly seen in 3 species P. confucius, pava & rectifasciatus.

    P. confucius; FW spots may almost have a gap (between spot 5 & 6 ) in the female.
HW spot 6 may be small ;dark edgings(spots) heavy.
    Male Thailand ssp dushta.

    Female Taiwan ssp augustatus.

    P. pava. FW spots may have a gap as in confucius. HW spot 6 large ; black edgings fine & mostly linear.
Male upperside with a triangular orange patch at base of space 2.
    Male Taiwan ssp lesbia.

Female Taiwan. Note overlap is very little on FW;HW spot 6 large.

    P. rectifasciatus ;HW spot 6 very large & fully overlapping spot 7, as well as spot 5. ; heavy dark spottings/edgings.
Upperside with FW spot 4 & 5 mostly in line with the rest below ,( but less on the underside).
    Male .Cambodia.

This should be Potanthus rectifasciatus female.

Potanthus lydia; large ; FW spots little overlap :Underside diffusely spotted :abdominal end wholly black.

Many thanks for the detailed reply. Indeed a good match against other web photos for this species. Once you have an idea of what to look for!
