Rapala is R. suffusa from the more yellowish than usual ground colour on the ventral surface and the shape of the post-discal band at the tornal area. The dorsal surface pretty much confirms the ID

    1. Mycalesis intermedia.
FW with extended white shadings, very large spot 2 touching both sides ; HW with deep triangular indentation in space 4 & 5.
(Note female Mycalesis tends to have larger FW spot 2.)
    Examples from Thailand.

    M. mineus from Thailand for comparison ;M. mineus from SE Asia tends to have the lower 4 eyespots almost in line.

    2. Rapala suffusa is right.
Moore the author of the name suffusa states the red is suffused with brown.
Both have strongly bent FW band/line, but damona is deeper ochreous brown with a prominent orange crown on the black spot.

    3. female P. lubricans with perhaps a hybrid element.
FW spots resemble P. discreta, but the small HW spots ID'ed it as P. lubricans

Other species recorded in SW China & Vietnam all have smaller FW cellspots separated.

    TL Seow: Cheers.
