    Dear Dr Seow, is this Eurema hecabe contubernalis (on behalf of a friend)? Thanks!

    This is a tricky one.
    The narrower black border & its shape suggest it could be E. blanda.

    E. blanda typically has a spot at the base of HW space 7, very rarely absent.
    Here there is a spot on vein 8 near the base suggesting a misplaced spot.
    However there are no confirmed E. blanda with such a spot whereas E. hecabe sometimes have a tiny dot on vein 8.
    The HW shape is equivocal.
    On balance I feel it is more probably E. hecabe.

    It is more likely to be E. hecabe which frequently have the cellspots missing.
    I don't think there is any example of E. blanda with all 3 cellspots missing.
