    I think this is a Parnara apostata , both shots from same individual .

    Yes, this has to be a male Parnara apostata. It is only the upperside which is very dark.
    HW with a spot 6 & spots 2, 3, 4 & 5 in a regular row increasing in size downwards.

    It matches the female from Raub correctly.

    It is very similar to P. guttata in the north & was first considered a ssp of P. guttata.
    P. guttata; HW without a spot 6; FW usually with 1-2 cellspots; note HW spot size variable.

    The shots was taken in Bangaladesh, this will be a new record for the country.

    Probably useful there is that in fresh examples.
    1. the HW spots are buff or off-white in P. bada & ganga.

    It was recored in Bangladesh in 2000 as Bashar M.A. (2015) Butterflies of Bangladesh. V.2 (Page 52)
