    This can gets increasing tough.It would help if anyone can provide some input.

    1. Pseudoblabes oophora. Arctiinae.
    Only two species, the other in the Philippines.
    Dots may be absent.

    2. Spodoptera litura is right Indo-australian, Noctuidae.

    5. Maliattha signifera. Eustrotiinae, Noctuidae. Indoaustralian tropics.

    This is often confused with another species M. ritsemai which has the brown band straight & the margin less undulate.

    The black spot is absent in some.

    6. Artona (Balataea ) sp. Zygaenidae.

    Although there are several photos of this, noone seems to be able to ID it properly.

    7. Spilartia cervina Arctiinae.
    Body reddish with lateral black spots; HW reddish with a few large black spots thorax with black vertical stripe.
    There are several similar species.
    Spilartia (Praephragmatobia) cervina is found in peninsular Malaysia & Sumatra.
    S. strigatula is heavily marked on the FW>

    11 is S griseabrunnea -Borneo only.
    12, 13 & 14 are S. rubescens from Thailand/Vietnam.(not recorded from Malaya)

    12 Theretra suffusa.
    Note on the FW the dark band is after the pale band.

    In the other two with a similar mid -body stripe ie T. oldenlandia & silhetenssisthe dark band is before the pale band.
