    The similar looking A. anceus have the FW margin excavated.

    Artena rubida.
    Only A. rubida have the FW solid rich brown . The others have fasciations (bandings).

    1. Rehimena phrynealis. Crambidae. India to Australia.

    2. Ercheia cyllaria. Extremely variable. Note blue grey apical patch & peculiar spots in the 'ring'.

    3. Rhagastis acuta. This has a more contrasted dark FW with the paler marginal area than R. rubetra.
