Great capture of the Common Faun laying eggs!
Thanks for informing me about the find and passing me the eggs. This will allow me to fill in the missing pieces of the LH record of this species.

Post 24. last pix.
I think it should be a male N. calauria.
There is still a fair bit of confusion because of variations & what appear to be intermediates.
It is necessary to determine the gender first , male here from habit & brush end abdomen.
The beroe male have the dark striae in the FW postdiscal band obsolete or poor; wingbases dark-shaded.
The berenice male have the marginal spots rather flat & the HW marginal spot 3 (above the eyespot ) flatter.
Three males with uppers.

The male calauria tend to have the marginal spots bulging ;HW marginal spot 3 rounded; Marginal & submarginal spots usually dark.

Two males from Singapore. Note dark striae in FW postdiscal band almost obsolete;FW submarginals bandlike but inner margins not rounded.
HW base darkened but FW base not obvious .2nd pix, Federick, Lornie Trail 2012.

Post 24 No. 4.
Horace's breeding results show this is a male Nacaduba berenice, not N. calauria.
