    The scarlet flash is so sharp!

    I noticed the Malayan snow flat has extended its proboscis, was it feeding on the surface of the leaf?

    Thanks Jon, Happy New Year to you! Really has no idea whether the proboscis was extended because I was in an awkward position.

    It is a Caltoris cormasa alright.

    The Bush brown do looks like M. visala but is essentially a M. mineus variant.
    The marginnal pale lines look thick like visala.
    However, the HW the lower 4 spots are in line & the inner margin of the eyespots indents most deeply at the upperend . typical for M. mineus.
