    Default ID Correction

MT1 Onryza siamica . Very worn; note FW large subapical hyaline spots & dark band: HW round cellend mark; large dark antennae.
    http://old.hkbutterfly.org/fieldtr/C...658%20copy.jpg

    MT2 & 8 correct.

    MT14 Athyma selenophora.

    Post 12.
1 Polyura athamas athamas . Note FW spot out of alignment with band ( aligned in P. arja.)
    2. Thauria lathyi. FW white band broad & reaches tornus broadly ( usually narrows/dislocated towards tornus in aliris)
Correction Update: Premise incorrect. This appeared to be T. aliris.
    3. Ypthima baldus baldus dsf. Buff ground ;HW dark bands further apart in lower 1/2;( roughly parallel in Y. singorensis.)
    4. Pelopidas assamensis. Antennae white-banded; white spots ; typical HW spotting.
    5. Unkana ambasa. (added.)

    TL Seow: Cheers.

Just arrived back, Antonio still travelling. I will get to start working on the photos in due course. Our stop off on the way down was very disappointing!

Seow, I thought the Ypthima was Y. lisandra bara.

Thank you for confiming Thauria lathyi gabrieli. I thought it was that but was not sure. I had no idea about Onryza siamica, damn, I think I may have missed it thinking 'Halpe'!

LC, your last skipper in post #12 is Unkana ambasa attina.

Fed, Seow is correct with the Athyma selenophora bahula.

I am sure you did get the Athyma nefte asita male. It is the one with orange/red subapical spots and a white broken cell stripe on the forewing. (A. cama cama has a reddish cell stripe with the red subapical spots!)

In Ypthima lisandra, the two ocelli in space 1b are in line with ocelli 2 & 3, thats it, all four lower ocelli are in a straight line.

I suppose it is the dry cool season in the north now.

    TL Seow: Cheers.

    A few more to go.

Pseudocoladenia dan fabia (The Fulvous Flat)

Is this the same or Pseudocoladenia dan dhyana ?

Is this Hasora proxissima siamica (The Siamese Awl) ?

Acytolepis puspa gisca (The Common Hedge Blue), is the sub-species correct ?

Same Curetis acuta dentata (The Angled Sunbeam) ?

    Skipper ?
