    Today a +2 for Koh Phangan, not illustrated because medium quality shots:

    The Commander - Moduza procis milonia
    The Banded Marquis - Euthalia teuta gupta
    and my first KPG Judy, not sure what, fast disappeared in the forest


    The Larger Harlequin - Taxila haquinus haquinus


    The Common Posy - Drupadia ravindra moorei\


    5 Bluebottle - common butterfly, not so common to see many of them puddling in KPG

    Today a couple of hours in the morning, same location, more+++!

    + 3 for KPG, +2 (probably) for my Thailand, + 1 for Samui-Phangan list!



    Deramas sp. It's not clear to me, I need help...

    I refuse to believe you are on KPG! Have you found a new location to visit on the Island?

    Magnificent Oakblue!!! Fantastic, I know I have never seen that here, can't miss it, can you.

    I think you have a second +1 for our Archipelago. The Deramas species looks like a female to me owing to the rounded shape of the forewing. If so, it can not be D. nolens pasteuri, which I have found on Samui, and must be D. livens evansi, owing to the lack of an orange crown to a black tornal spot on the hindwing.

    I'll be very interested in any comment Seow may like to make on this one.

    You know the location, a little farther (1km) from the place you saw the Simiskina.

    Can't do tomorrrow or Thursday ( is today Tuesday?, I have lost track, I hope it is). How about Friday.

    The female Deramas does fit the description of D. livens very well.
    The underside is a rich reddish to purple brown & the tornal orange is practically obsolete.
