Default Kaeng Krachan National Park 2nd part

I get Les proposal and I start a new thread about our wonderful trip.

I will post some common butterflies too, just to give a better idea of the environment and the different species from Center Thailand.

Of course some mistake will be welcome to be correct...

For (my) convenience, I'll post the pics in chronological order:

A01 The Clipper - Parthenos sylvia apicalis - Puddling at sunrise

a02 The Banded Marquis - Euthalia teuta gupta

A03 The Chain Swordtail - Graphium aristeus hermocrates

A04 The Great Mormon - Papilio memnon agenor

    Thanks, Antonio.

A couple of changes- The Euthalia evelina is ssp. compta, I suspect.
The Euthalia teuta ssp. is difficult to determine for certain, as the males are indistinguishable to me, the differences in females are more obvious, but yours is a male. I suspect you are right.
My mistake, I think, whilst up on the mountain (1000m) on the first day. The species looks like Parantica melaneus (Chocolate Tiger), the same as lower down. Sorry!

    LD 12 - Euthalia recta monilis (Red-spot Marquis) - male & female
LD 13 - Euthalia evelina compta - underside

No.5 is Discophora sondaica zal, the northern ssp. Paler than the ssp. further south.

I am exceptionally envious of your photo of Odina decorata (Zigzag flat). No ssp. This is yet again another species found further south than previously recorded, to my knowledge.

I am totally pissed off that I missed the Kallima. Never seen the species.

I think we all managed the photo of The Tawny Angle, despite asking whether it was a moth!!!!

We can always go back for more.

Theses small flats are small and zippy and they does look like a moth for the few fleeting seconds when they stop.
That was until they decide to take a loooonngeeeerr pitstop.
