    Default Duffer

Today I finally felt that need to get back out and shoot after months of being 'absent' from the forum.

I was originally chasing a group of skittish bamboo tree browns around,
hoping they would stop in sight, when this fella flew by.

This is the first time I have seen a common duffer, and I am shocked by the size, It was practically as big as the saturn!!
It was very tattered but a plus is a plus.

The spots don't show up well in this pic...

But now I am having doubt whether it is a duffer because I remember the bright yellow antennae were very prominent( It didn't turn nicely in the pics) but our duffer does not have such bright antennae.
    cheers

    Jon,

Congrates on the +1 , it is a very worn female Duffer. The distinctive discal band of this species is still visible.

But now I am having doubt whether it is a duffer because I remember the bright yellow antennae were very prominent( It didn't turn nicely in the pics) but our duffer does not have such bright antennae.
It does , in particular on female.
