I guess this is Yasoda pita dohertyi
Nice butt and is this Yasoda pita dohertyi rare?
Ben Jin
LC, the Branded Yamfly that we shot could either be a Yasoda pita dohertyi or Yasoda pitane laruta. Both are so similiar.
According to C & P 4, the Y. pita occurs from Burma to Sundaland while the Y. pitane is known only from Malaya and Sumatra.
Here we go again....
Lethe verma robinsoni (The Straight Treebrown)
Melanocyma faunula faunula (Pallid Faun)
Appias pandione lagela (Banded Puffin)
Yasoda pita dohertyi (Branded Yamfly)

Haha... Nelson, you're going to make Sunny drive up to Cameron Highlands next week to shoot the Purple Sapphires! He's still got a score to settle with them!
Have to take a closer look at those Yamfly species. They are very similar indeed.
Nelson, beautiful butts and very good series of shots.
Thanks for sharing.

woah, here comes the mother load of butterfly shots, really well done in nailing all those species! They are not just records, but pieces of art! Wish I could have an opportunity to shoot those butts one day!
