  • Website Upgrade [IMPORTANT]

Forums have been upgraded to the latest VB4 version.

There are some functions that are currently faulty, as well as some error messages popping out:
    1) Advanced Search
    2) Error on the home page
    3) Error on Adding new article page

We'll need to upgrade our server's PHP version to rectify the problem.

I'll be scheduling another short downtime for the PHP upgrade. Do bear with the quirks for the time being and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Something is wrong with the link to the checklist.
Clicking "Singapore Checklist" directs to the URL: checklist.butterfly.com which is invalid.

Clicking on the blue FB Connect box gets me nowhere. Is anyone else getting the same problem?

No prob. Although they prompt me to sign in (for obvious reasons).

The FB connect should prompt the user if he wants to link his/her FB account with the forum account. Upon doing so, the user will need to login to facebook to complete the request.
Anyone else experiencing the same problem as Khew?

I tested the forums with three different browsers. Internet Explorer 11, Firefox, and Google Chrome. All delivered very different results

IE11 doesn't even show the FB blue box at all! Zilch, can't even see nor click on it.
Firefox works ok, with the FB dialogue box appearing and asking me to login to my FB account
Chrome launches the dialogue box, and it disappears in the blink of an eye. After that, nothing happens.

My Chrome is ok, with your Firefox result. Not sure about the other browsers though.

Strange, the Firefox result should be the correct behavior of the function.

I have tested on chrome and IE too. Chrome works for me.

As for IE, it needs to be in IE11 mode in order for the FB button to appear. (press F12 and scroll to the last icon of the black bar on the bottom left page and select document mode = Edge, and User agent string = Default)

Pressing ctrl + f5 to refresh the page maybe a simple way to clear the cache, cant guarantee that it will work.

Facebook sharing has changed. Instead of liking individual posts, users will be able to "like" threads instead. Only public threads are "likeable". The reason for this change is due to Facebook's open graph. By liking a thread, facebook will grab the topic name and text from it. Since facebook is an unregistered user, it cannot display things in a forum where its meant for registered users only.

Actually now using the forums by phone still have bug. The "Code of Conduct" is partially covered by search bar. Is this due to the width, or it can be fixed? Anthony, I can send you the photos if you need.

Thats not a bug Brian. Its due to the navigation bar being overpopulated. When you view it on a small screen, the overlapping effect tends to happen. But as we are slowly moving towards a "Mobile First" web, I hope that I will be able to implement the next gen font-end framework to our current system. And by doing so, it would rectify a lot of quirks such as the problem that you are experiencing.
