• About ButterflyCircle

ButterflyCircle is an on-line community of passionate butterfly enthusiasts who share a common interest in Nature's flying jewels. It was started by a small handful of Nature lovers who have been observing butterflies since their childhood days.

The group soon gathered many photographers and researchers who share the common interest of observing and photographing butterflies in their natural environment as well as conserving these beautiful creatures.

Our active members hail mainly from Singapore and Malaysia, the ButterflyCircle Forums has members from throughout the world. All sharing a common interest in butterflies through photography, studying and observing them in the field.

Our objectives are:
To promote greater awareness and the conservation of butterfly fauna in the region.
To create an appreciation of butterflies in their natural environment through photography, field observations and environmentally-friendly means.
To study the life history and habitats of butterflies so as to build up biodiversity checklists and database of host plants and other information to aid in conservation strategies to preserve as many species as possible for future generations to enjoy.
