Description
The King Crow is the largest member of the Euploea genus and is quite similar to the Malayan Crow. On the upperside, the larger violet-tinged spots at the apex of the forewing distinguishes it from the Malayan Crow.
Habitat & Habits
The King Crow is rather rare in Malaysia, but appears more common in Singapore, especially in the nature reserves. Its food plant, the Pong Pong Tree (Cerbera odollam), which is grown as a roadside tree, has brought the butterfly into the urban areas and parks.
