Here is another moth which I'm clueless of its identity...

Sorry about the size though, cos I had to re-size it to allow the upload. :grin2:

Ur third yellow moth has been ID-ed previously by Roger as Artaxa sp.

You can find the post here (http://butterflycircle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8654).

Ur first moth is beautiful! You took it in Singapore?

Hi everyone,

Need some help with the ID of the following moths.

Thanks in advance. :)

#1 is a species of Arctornis (Noctuidae, Lymantriinae, Arctonithini), though if you take a look at the Moths of Borneo website, there are rather a lot of species in the genus and many look virtually identical.

#2 is a lappet moth of some description (Lasiocampidae), possibly in the genus Dendrolimus

cheers, Roger.

This is one of the species of Dysphania (Geometridae, Geometrinae). Be aware that there are several burnet moths (Zygaenidae: Psaphis spp.) that look rather similar to this!

cheers, Roger.

Thank you so much for your help Dr Roger (HKMoths). :)

I have a few new moths photos and as usual, I'm clueless with regards to the ID. Could you please kindly help me with them?

And could I please also check with you, if there are any good books on moth identification and classification? I would like to purchase one for easy reading.
