Your skipper appears to be Matapa aria (Common Red-Eye).

However,:police: , try again for your 'Common Sailor'!:) (Hint - Check the hind wing markings)

hmm... been staring at the checklist for about 5 mins. short banded sailor? the markings on the forewing dont really look the same...

Common Redeye it is...

And the Sunbeam is a Malayan Sunbeam, not Sumatran Sunbeam. AHBT does not have Sumatran Sunbeams as yet. ;P

thanks for the correction. i always thought only Curetis saronis sumatrana hides under the leaves...

Don't mention about sunbeam, until now i still quite pissed off by the lady who ran pass when i was about to shoot the sunbeam! Oh it flew up and it went underneath a leaf. So yes they do hide under the leaf.

that was the sumatran not the malayan =P. but ah well they behave the same
