Went to the CCA areas yesterday with Khew & Ben Jin, I got surprise of +3 :grin2:

Arhopala ammon ammon - I'm not aware abt the size of this butt until I see it, it's only the size of sg 10 cents coin. Tot it's like those 'normal' Arhopala.

Congrats for your pluses. Great shots esp. the shot of the Maplet on the leaf underside. I have also seen the Maplets flying around and checking up the leaves of this climber, but so far no luck with seeing them actually laying eggs.

Interesting... the climber is quite common in that area, and perhaps that's why the butt is most often seen here. :thinking: At least now we know where to look for their cats.

Nice shot of the A. ammon. There is a very similar species, Arhopala ammonides which is even smaller. A. ammon has a wingspan of c. 28mm, A. ammonides is c. 26mm. Also the forewing colouration is different,, much darker blue in A. ammon.
