ahh, so your pix are "hidden" here! Was looking thru the butt photography section and wondering where your pix are. Nice pix - I like #88 best but the poor butt seems to be bleeding!!! :broken:

Sorry to make you go around 'hunting'. There are two reasons why I posted here. Firstly, my standard cannot compare with those in Butterfly Photography, so must hide here when posting new species. Secondly, trying to provide the public, who log in as guest, a glimpse on the diversity of the butterflies found in Singapore; hopefully, more pple will in in our 'quest'.

Thanks Yong San, 11 more to go. ;P

it is the "cheapest" entertainment. hehehe. just go and hunt with relatively "cheap" equipment. imagine how much one will spend for bird-watching? or underwater photography? :PFor birdwatching one need not necessarily spend thousands of dollars for those expensive Leica or Swarovski spotting scopes and carbon fibre tripods. Just a plain old pair of binoculars would suffice, anything from just over a 100 bucks to 1k would give you quite decent results (depending on your budget). Budget brands include Bushnell, and if you have a better budget, Nikon glasses are also excellent. At least an 8x or 10x25 specs. And also a keen eye to spot avians, and an equivalent birding reference book, something akin to the butt bible C&P4. ;-) At the least a simple pair of bino and a companion ID book will cost a couple hundred bucks, perfect for a beginner or student interested in birdwatching but having limited funds.

Of course, when it comes to serious/hardcore birdwatching or bird photography, the sky's the limit. The scopes/lenses alone can cost thousands of dollars. Hardcore birders also spent lots of money travelling round the world to far flung places just to catch a rare species.

No comments on underwater photography since I don't indulge in that.
