Which part of Changi did you find the D elioti?

Beside OCH along hendon rd. But not advisable to go there as the terrain is quite unpredictable with steep areas, and is very deserted too. Also, it's supposed to be off-limits to public.

Thanks Wong, apparently all the D elioti shot so far are found close to places near the sea. The ones I shot in Ubin and Sentosa are about 200 metres from the beach area so presumably the host plants must thrive well in those places.

Good record shots of both. The markings of the Lycaenid matches closest to D. elioti but there is always a chance of one more Deudorix sp that we have yet to encounter - D staudingeri. Check up C&P4 for the details. Ubin and Punggol locations cropped up. :thinking:

You probably shot the males which have a very thin upperside apical border. This is one of the many forms of the female of this species.
