Ben Jin and I decided to head out east, since most of the group's activities have been concentrating on the western side of the island. :)

At Pasir Ris Park and the mangrove walk, there were some flowering trees and also patches of plants which kept us busy, even though the species were mainly the common urban stuff.

List of butterflies observed :

Chilasa clytia clytia (Common Mime)
Papilio demoleus malayanus (Lime Butterfly)
Papilio polytes romulus (Common Mormon)
Graphium sarpedon luctatius (Common Bluebottle)
Graphium agamemnon agamemnon (Tailed Jay)
Delias hyparete metarete (Painted Jezebel)
Appias libythea olferna (Striped Albatross)
Catopsilia pomona pomona (Lemon Emigrant)
Eurema hecabe contubernalis (Common Grass Yellow)
Danaus chrysippus chrysippus (Plain Tiger)
Ideopsis vulgaris macrina (Blue Glassy Tiger)
Euploea phaenareta castelnaui (King Crow)
Elymnias hypermnestra agina (Common Palmfly)
Amathusia phidippus phidippus (Palm King)
Phalanta phalantha phalantha (Leopard)
Junonia hedonia ida (Chocolate Pansy)
Junonia almana javana (Peacock Pansy)
Junonia orithya wallacei (Blue Pansy)
Hypolimnas bolina bolina (Great Eggfly)
Doleschallia bisaltide australis (Autumn Leaf)

You didn't miss anything. Was about to shoot a Rapala spp. after you left but couldn't ID it as no shot was taken :-(

Thanks. :) Never mind about the Rapala. I think there'll be some flying around in the early morning and later part of the afternoon. The Lycaenids were strangely absent for such a nice flowering tree with so much activity by the larger butts.

Here's a record shot of a Tailless Line Blue "peeing" whilst puddling. :)

One more shot of the Tailless Line Blue puddling. The reflections from the waterlogged muddy ground created those doughnut-like rings that is often seen in mirror lenses... ;P Definitely no butter-smooth background here. :)

Didn't recall seeing any Niggers this morning.

Sumatran Sunbeam? The best chance to nail this species is at SBWR. They are the resident species there. :)

Wong, there is a shuttle bus running from Kranji MRT daily on an hourly basis to SBWR and the farms up to Lim Chu Kang. Only $2 for the round trip.
