Taken at AH today. It seems like Ciliate Blue, but the pattern at the costa area of the hindwing is a bit different when compared to this (http://www.geocities.com/rainforest/vines/2382/lycaenidae/emolus.htm). :hmmm:

Look pretty similar to me. The same location of the dark spot near the root of the hindwing; The same ring-ed spots at the hindwing too. I dont see any other similar species in Commander's checklist. :)

Yes, that's a Ciliate Blue all right... Perhaps a bit weathered, but all the characteristics are there.

There is a related species though, and that's Anthene lycaenina miya (http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Vines/2382/lycaenidae/lycaenina.htm), which may be confused with the Ciliate Blue. However, this one with its obvious spot at the hindwing will make ID easy. Quite a rare one though, and I haven't seen it in the last couple of years. Most often seen at Mandai & Chestnut area.

Thanks for the confirmation. In the pic below, I have circled the portion which is slightly different. In the sample (http://www.geocities.com/rainforest/vines/2382/lycaenidae/emolus.htm), these two 'bars' were touching, but in mine, they were far apart. Difference due to male/female?
