Hi All

Wow...solid trip to ER. Nice 'catch' the Taenaris. ;-)

Good news to announce....

I have seen the above twice at the USR trail leading to the reservoir edge (now closed) but have no proof then (think it was year 1999 and then again in 2000).

But now I have a specimen to show. This bugger (male) flew into my house on Saturday night and thereafter died suddenly...so I set it. It is a bit damaged and lost a tail...but what the heck I have solid proof now that the species is found in Singapore.

Walao... you used some Arhopala attractant in your house har? Ok, pass it to me and I'll compare it with the specimen that I have from Johor. But it should be quite obvious, since it's quite distinct in markings.

It is on the setting board at the moment. When dried will take pix of both the top and bottom and post it on the web.

did not expect an arhopala in the house let alone a rarer one than the pseudocentaurus.....
