Was clearing my photo directories when I found two pics of this butts, which were shot on 31 May at AH.

I guess that it was an Orange Emigrant as the spots were quite similar to the specimen provided by the master. However, the colour was not that orange. So was it an Orange Emigrant?

Yes, it's an Orange Emigrant. The colours vary with the age of the butterfly as well, so in a more worn-out specimen, the yellow-orange undersides may appear paler than in fresh specimens.
