Jamides pura has been recorded in the past in Singapore but proving its existence have proved difficult.
This unique female intrigued me in the past because of its unusual appearance.

It is the female Jamides pura pura.

The underside have the submarginal spots with inner margins crenate or scalloped. Correction: This scalloping is not present in all specimens.
It was not possible to match because in most cases only the underside of the male was shown.
In the male the FW submargibal spots have the inner margins level & so looks different.
